The Monivea Heritage Group plan to publish the 1891 Monivea Census copybook at a launch in Monivea Hall on the 15th August 2025. All are very welcome. Further details to follow.
A copy of the 1891 census was found by Paddy Moyles and has been kindly shared with Monivea Heritage Association. The Census was transcribed into a copybook by Paddy's Great Grandfather John F. Kennedy in 1891. John F. Kennedy lived at the Gate Lodge , Monivea with his family. This document is a fabulous insight into the lives of the people of Monivea in 1891. It is an extremely important and invaluable document in that almost all of the 1891 census were destroyed in the 1920's.
